The following video clip was published about eighteen months ago now, but is worth while viewing again, as it’s a brilliant look at how Hong Kong resident & Architect Gary Chang was able to transform a 330 – square foot residential apartment into twenty-four (24) separate room lay-outs. It’s a brilliant use of a very small space. Both his design lay-out and concept should be studied by Architects, Interior Designers and Multi-Residential Developers. I first saw this video clip via the Planet Green website.
I’ve also included the YouTube video feed clip that show’s how Gary Chang transformed a very small space into a very unique living space!

I recently came across the noted disclaimer via an article I read at the Blog section of the Village Voice website.Village Voice The article deals with various words or acronyms that the author feels need to be retired on the internet. Some are justified of course, others are not. I think the author of the article should spend a little time at the Urban Dictionary web site to find many other words or acronyms that needed to be retired too. Urban Dictionary In any event what really caught my eye and made me chuckle was the disclaimer at the end of the article on the Village Voice web site, which states:
“Disclaimer: We cannot be held accountable for which of these words and phrases we may continue to use now and again, because, while knowing is half the battle, it’s time in the market that really matters.”
Needless to say I don’t think I need to try to dissect the disclaimer for everyone, it speaks for itself and the state of our virtual society today and the way lots of people interact! It’s very tongue in cheek of course; which I like, but when it comes to viewing everything via the lens of the “market place” is it not time we all head to the check-out stand before it is too late?
Great track from the top trance DJ in the world today, Armin van Buuren called “Virtual Friend” that features Sophie on vocals. This song seems like a fitting tune for a blog post on a number of different levels; would you not agree!

My gig’s are high energy, a great choice of dance club type tunes, the songs are always mixed in key and I typically keep my bpm’s at 128! House music type of structure baby at it’s very best!
I don’t listen to Trance like I use to; I’m more of a 128 bpm progressive vocal house kind of DJ now. A good dose of Armin van Buuren, the greatest trance DJ on the planet today, however via his radio program, “A State of Trance” is good to listen too now and then I must say! As such I’ll serve up “Shivers” featuring the delicious Susana on vocals. A good trance tune is typically at 135 bpm’s and Armin delivers the goods on “Shivers”. “Shivers” came out in 2007 and is still a great live trance DJ tune play!

This is a bit off topic from most of my blog postings, but I found this picture recently via a Reuters/NASA publication and wanted to share it. The picture is, in the words of Reuters, “of a setting last quarter crescent moon and the thin line of Earth’s atmosphere photographed by an Expedition 24 crew member as the International Space Station passes over central Asia, September 4, 2010”. It’s not hard to see why this photograph is so amazing, its breath-taking, but what really is captivating about the picture, at least from my view-point, is the “thin line of Earth’s atmosphere” and the womb like fragile shell that protects all life on earth. This fragile shell has evolved over millions of years and yet within only the last 100 years or so we have pumped a toxic mixture of man-made gases into the atmosphere that are now threatening the fine balance between life and death. I know this is an over used cliché, but the concept of “think globally, act locally” needs to be part of everyone’s set of day-to-day routines. Please do your part to help protect our atmosphere, our planet and all forms of life that still exist on earth. Senseless consumption and not doing our part to protect our planet, should never have been and more than ever, is not an option!
Just spreading some of that House music love thing for the first Wednesday in November. Great tune featuring Hannah K on the vocals and the oh so smooth remix via Groovemaster K & Stefan Meetz! A great House tune sets the mood correctly in any DJ’s set and “Rhythm of My Love” has a hypnotic/sexy beat that definitely works for me in my sets when I play it! Enjoy!
